A few sights

from the Houston Quilt Market.

A friend and I went to Market on Wednesday night, and it was so much fun!  I definitely would like to go back this afternoon to see what I didn’t already see.  And, of course, there’s a few things that I’d like to pick up…if they’re not already gone!

This one was just so intricate that it was picture worthy!  Definitely not my style, but whoa look at the detail!Quilt Show 2009

This one was so unique because of the colored quilting threads used!  I can’t even IMAGINE being able to quilt like this!Quilt Show 2009 (3) Close up of the centerQuilt Show 2009 (4)

This one I took because, I mean, it’s so not your grandmother’s quilt…Quilt Show 2009 (2)

This one I loved!  So fun and whimsical!Quilt Show 2009 (5)

And finally, a tribute to my Louisiana roots…a little blue dog inspired art…Quilt Show 2009 (6)

Hope that you all have a great Sunday afternoon!

Great quilts, Diane. Yeah, most not my taste (although the white one I could happily live with) but you gotta admire that talent and time it took to make them!

Those quilts are amazing! I'm a quilter, but never could ever imagine getting as good as that! Beautiful pictures. I'm glad you posted them.
